An update from our provider, The Nutrition Group
Dear Poland School District Families,
As your school’s food service provider, our goal has always been to provide high-quality, nutritious, healthy, and well-balanced meals to your child.
Since the onset of the pandemic, we’ve all experienced shortages in the grocery stores and restaurants we visit. School food service is not immune to those same challenges. Occasionally you’ll notice changes to school menu options, or your child may tell you that a favorite menu item has been missing. We want to reassure you that your child will still be able to enjoy a nutritious, balanced quality meal daily.
For regular updates to your school’s menu, visit Polandbulldogs.com Should you have specific concerns or questions, please reach out to your Food Service Director Danielle Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 330-757-7000 ext. 5.
Thank you for entrusting us to serve your child, as well as your continued understanding and patience!

2021-2022 Free and Reduced Meal Application
August 3, 2021
Poland Local Schools is announcing its 2021-2022 year policy for free and reduced-price meals.
The National School Lunch and School Breakfast Program ensures all students have access to meals during school, specifically students who cannot pay the full meal price. Federal Income Eligibility guidelines determine students’ eligibility for the program. The official policy and guidelines have been published on the Poland Local Schools website.
Applications for the program are available on the school website to be printed. Additional copies are available at the main office in each school. Completed applications should be returned to the student’s school main office.
An optional application for Ohio’s Healthy Start & Healthy Families program is included in the application. Families with children eligible for school meals may be eligible for low-cost health care coverage through Medicaid and/or Ohio’s Healthy Start & Healthy Families programs. These programs include coverage for doctor visits, immunizations, physicals, prescriptions, dental, vision, mental health, substance abuse and more. Information can also be found on the web at https://medicaid.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/medicaid/.
Families can apply for free and reduced-price meals anytime throughout the school year. For more information, visit the Food Services Department website or contact Danielle Davis, Food Services Director: 330-757-7000 ext 5
