(COMPLETE) November 15, 2022: Safety Drills at PSHS
Today at approximately 10:00 am, Poland Seminary High School performed a safety drill in partnership with the Poland Township Police Department and multiple agencies from Mahoning County. Staff and student cooperation was outstanding. Although doors were locked, instruction continued during the drill and normal operation resumed at 10:28 am.

BULLDOG UPDATE: Thanks to the diligent work of our facilities staff and our local partners on Friday, the issues at McKinley have been resolved. McKinley Elementary operate as usual on Monday, January 23, 2023.

Poland Local Schools is currently attending to another plumbing issue at McKinley Elementary. This issue has caused certain parts of the building to be inaccessible. K-3 students and staff are currently advised to utilize restrooms in the connector and Poland Middle School if needed.
All building constituents are safe, and the issues are currently being contained. In the case that conditions deteriorate, we will notify you of any updates.
Our facilities staff and partners are currently attending to the issues and hope to provide an update soon.
Bulldog Update: Poland Local Schools is attending to restroom/plumbing issues occurring at the McKinley Elementary facility. Students/Staff are advised to utilize the restrooms in the Connector for the remainder of the school day. Poland Middle School restrooms are also available. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as we learn more. -PLSD
At this time, Poland Township and Village Police have let us know Poland Local Schools may resume normal operation. All buildings have been released from lockdown and resume normal operations. Thank you.
Around 9:30 a.m. on 1/12/2023, Poland Local Schools was directed by Poland Township and Poland Village Police departments to initiate lockdown procedures at all buildings.

Due to a bus driver shortage resulting from ongoing illnesses, the MCCTC/STEM shuttle will perform an early drop-off for dismissal on Friday, December 9. Students will be picked up from MCCTC/STEM at 1:15 p.m. and return to the PSHS Stadium Lot around 1:45 p.m.
Limited bus drivers on Dec. 5, 2022, will potentially cause transportation delays for some routes pick-up/drop-off tomorrow.
