Attention Families:
We are monitoring weather models that are predicting inclement weather for our area this Wednesday-Friday, February 2-4. The National Weather Service has issued this hazardous weather outlook:
Confidence continues to increase that a long-duration winter storm will impact the region Wednesday through early Friday morning. Precipitation is expected to start as mainly rain Tuesday night into Wednesday. Rain will change to a wintry mix and/or snow Wednesday afternoon and especially Wednesday night. The heaviest precipitation will likely occur on Thursday with significant accumulations possible.
As of Monday, January 31, Poland Local Schools are open for education.
In the scenario where Poland Local Schools must close to ensure the safety of students, staff, and the community, official announcements will be sent through the following channels:

Senior Alexis Antal finished second place in "Not So Trivial Pursuit", Junior Elliana Volpini scored first place in "I Love Limericks", and Senior Katelyn Hupp earned an honorable mention in the Impromptu writing contest!
