Dear Parent(s),

On the evening of Tuesday, December 13th, our 2nd and 3rd grade students will be performing at our School's Winter Concert. This concert will take place at the Poland Seminary High School Auditorium from 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm.

Students are encouraged to practice their music and any speaking parts at home! If you and/or your student have not already, please join their grade's Music Google Classroom so that they may access their concert materials at home.

Here are the classroom codes:

Second Grade families should enter this code: w6rohb4

Third Grade families should enter this code: kgyu5cr

Second Grade Arrival:
Doors will open at 5:45 PM. Please park in the main parking lot and enter through Door D23. The doors are labeled for your convenience. Your student will report to the gym, where they will meet Miss Senatore as well as their classroom teacher and be organized by class. All parents can report to the auditorium to be seated. The concert will begin at 6:00 PM. Second grade students will be dismissed at 6:30 PM following the conclusion of their portion of the program.

Concert Dress:
Second grade students are encouraged to wear red and green attire. Your student may wear an elf hat as well if they choose. They will be making and decorating elf hats as part of a craft during school, but if you have or would like to purchase a different hat, you are welcome to do so. Your student should be able to stand comfortably on stage in their concert attire for approximately 30 minutes.

Third Grade Arrival:
Doors will open at 6:30 PM. The doors will be labeled for your convenience. Your student will report to the Gym, where they will meet their teacher as well as Miss Senatore and be organized by homeroom class. All parents should report to the auditorium to be seated. The concert will begin at 6:45. Third grade students will be dismissed at 7:15 PM following the conclusion of their portion of the program.

Concert Dress:
Third grade students should wear cozy winter clothing, such as sweaters, scarves, hats, gloves, and/or mittens. Please keep in mind that your student should be comfortable enough in their clothing to stand on stage for approximately 30 minutes, and the stage may get warm under the lights.

If your child has a speaking role, you may brainstorm and come up with a costume and/or small handheld prop that matches their role's “profession." For example, Wendy the Weaver may have colorful yarn wrapped around her costume. Marty the Mayor may be dressed up professionally and carry a clipboard. Please let Miss Senatore know if you need help deciding on a costume idea, and please inform her of any ideas you have!

We appreciate your support!

Respectfully,

Miss Senatore and Mr. Beard
