The USDA waiver that provided free school breakfast and lunch is expiring June 2022. Fees for school breakfasts and lunches will no longer be waived by the USDA. Unless new legislation is passed extending the waiver or providing further support, students will be responsible for paying for breakfast, lunch, and/or al la carte items provided by the Poland Local Schools starting in the 2022-2023 school year.

At this time, there is no indication of legislative action on this waiver. If there are any updates/changes, they will be posted to the Poland Local Schools website.

A USDA program still available to qualifying students is the Free & Reduced Meal Program. Qualifying for this program is not guaranteed, and an application and review must be completed before a decision is made.
