February 14, 2023: Middle School Valentine's Day Parties

Dear Bulldog Families,
It’s hard to believe that it’s already time for Valentine’s Day! We will celebrate Tuesday, February 14th with homeroom classes during our WIN times throughout the day. Our wonderful PTO is planning for small parties in each classroom and students will be provided with a special treat. Please see specific details below for each grade level.
Grades 4 & 5
Students are asked to bring in their already completed Valentine’s boxes on Tuesday, February 14th. IMPORTANT: Please ensure that the box can easily fit on your child's lap on the bus and is no larger than what will fit on an individual desk. If, for any reason, your student will not be able to complete a box, please let your child’s teacher know and a bag that can be decorated will be provided for them. Students in 4th grade should bring in 23 valentines and students in 5th grade are asked to bring in 29 signed valentines for their classmates. If you’d like to send valentine cards with candy attached, it must be individually wrapped and sealed. Absolutely NO homemade treats or unsealed store bought treats will be allowed. Also, students will be asked not to eat any candy while here at school.
Grade 6
We are attempting to find an age appropriate activity for grade 6. I know last year it was difficult to find valentines that didn’t say something like, “I choo-choo love you,” with a cartoon train. Many students in sixth grade last year chose not to participate. This year, we are going to do something a bit different. Grade 6 students WILL NOT bring in Valentine cards or boxes.
We will supply bags for students and you may send store bought individually wrapped and sealed candy to pass out. If you bring candy, you must bring enough for the entire class, 30. Absolutely NO homemade treats or unsealed store bought treats will be allowed. Also, students will be asked not to eat any candy while here at school. The PTO will be leading each grade 6 homeroom through an escape room activity at the traditional party time and students will receive an ice cream treat at lunch.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call. We look forward to an enjoyable day!
With Bulldog Pride,
Mr. Purins
Principal
