PSHS Cheer @ 2024 CheerTime Athletics Camp

Poland Local School District is proud to share some great news from our PSHS Cheerleaders:

Poland Seminary High School Cheerleaders attended Cheer Time Athletics Spirit Camp on June 11-14, in Niles, Ohio. Throughout the week the girls learned new cheer, dance, and stunt material for the upcoming season.The Bulldogs came home victorious earning two Elite Awards with ribbons, various individual accolades throughout the week, and most importantly team unity.

Throughout the week, individual awards went to Giada DeSantis, Alexis Flood, Melina Livosky, Lily Martin, Samantha McKenzie, Gianna Page, Amanda Ray, and Julia Snyder for skills in dance, spirit, or stunt.

At the close of camp, all seniors were spotlighted with an individual award. Seniors include Macy Martin, Lainey McGivern, Mia Melone, and Angelina Mrofchak all showcasing great leadership.

Cheer Time Athletics awarded the following individuals with the noted “All American” Cheerleader: Seniors- Macy Martin, Lainey McGivern, and Angelina Mrofchak. Juniors- Hailey Canfield, Nina Kalouris, Melina Livosky, and Julia Snyder.

All American Athletes are chosen by CTA staff based off of stand out cheer talent, leadership, and character demonstrated throughout camp! Each “All American Cheerleader” selected from any of the CTA summer camps is invited to perform as one team both locally and nationally.

These young athletes have the opportunity to perform at a YSU Men’s Basketball game and a Cleveland Cavaliers game. In addition to this, the All American selectees are invited to perform with Spirit of America Productions during the Macy’s 2024 Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

Congratulations to the Poland Seminary cheerleaders and coaching staff! Coaches include Anne Marie Hurdley, Julie Rinehart, and Lindsay Pecchia.

2024-2025 Free and Reduced-Price Meals - Public Release

Poland Local Schools today announced its 2024-2025 program year policy for free and reduced-price meals for students unable to pay the full price of meals served under the National School Lunch and School Breakfast programs. Each school office and the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by any interested party.
