The Poland Local School District mourns the passing of Dr. Robert L. Zorn, who served our schools and community with extraordinary dedication for more than four decades. Dr. Zorn joined Poland Schools in 1961 as a teacher and later became principal before serving as superintendent from 1976 to 2012, a remarkable 36-year tenure of leadership and service.
Under Dr. Zorn’s guidance, Poland Local Schools experienced transformative growth in academics, facilities, and community engagement. He was a forward-thinking educator who valued excellence in teaching, lifelong learning, and opportunities for every student to succeed. His efforts helped Poland earn a statewide reputation for academic distinction and community partnership.
The Poland Local School District expresses its deepest condolences to Dr. Zorn’s family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and vision. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of students and educators within the Poland community.

HAPPY 67 DAY! It was the 67th day of school at Poland Local School District, and our second graders in Mrs. Jeswald's and Mrs. Ungaro's classes celebrated in awesome activities! They went on a 67 scavenger hunt, built creations of 67 blocks, did 6-7 exercises, and so many math equations adding up to 6, 7, or 67. If the meme isn't stale by tomorrow, we truly have no idea what else to do!

Exploring international genres, traditional carols, and holiday tributes, the Junior High Choir and 7th and 8th grade bands displayed great talent and unity in a strong sound.
