PSHS Cheer @ 2026 Cheer Time Athletics Spirit Camp

The Poland Seminary High School Cheerleaders attended Cheer Time Athletics Spirit Camp on June 10-12, in Niles, Ohio. Throughout the week, the teams learned a variety of new material from cheers, to dance routines, to stunts for the upcoming season. The Bulldogs came home victorious earning two Elite Awards, the highest honor, with orange ribbons. In addition to this, many  individuals received various certificates throughout the week for leadership, cheer skills, stunt skills, and dance skills. More importantly, this group of cheerleaders left camp as a unified team! 

Throughout the week, individual certificates went to Kilaney Berendt, Aleah George, Sydney MacDonald, Olivia Rabatin, Amanda Ray, and Mia Sciola for standout skills in work ethic, dance, spirit, or stunt. 

At the end of the week, the CTA staff highlighted each senior with an individual award. Seniors include Samantha McKenzie, Lilyanah Miller, and Amanda Ray. Each senior showcased exemplary leadership. Senior cheerleaders are invited to perform at the Pop Tart Bowl Championship Game in Orlando, Florida. The highly anticipated college football matchup will be broadcast live on ESPN and hosted at Camping World Stadium on December 29, 2026. 

Cheer Time Athletics also awarded the following individuals with the noted “All American” cheerleader:

• Seniors - Samantha McKenzie, Lilyanah Miller
• Juniors - Lily Martin, Madison Medvec
• Sophomores - Aliyana Broderick, Sofia Nolfi, Olivia Rabatin
• Freshman - Amelia Altiero

“All American” Athletes are selected by the CTA staff based on their observations of our athlete’s cheer talent, leadership skills, and character demonstrated throughout camp! “All American” cheerleaders selected from any of the CTA summer camps are invited to perform with the selected team both locally and nationally. 

These young athletes have the opportunity to perform at a Cleveland Cavaliers game, a Cleveland Charge game, as well as a YSU Men’s or Women’s Basketball game. In addition to this, the “All American” selectees received  the opportunity to perform at the nationally televised Pop Tart Bowl Game in Florida!

All Poland Seminary cheerleaders are invited to perform with CTA at an upcoming Scrappers game on August 9.

Congratulations to the Poland Seminary cheerleaders and coaching staff!  Coaches include Anne Marie Hurdley, Madison Pushay, and Bridget Russell. This is sure to be an incredible season!

Junior High

Our Junior High team participated in a home camp with CTA at Dobbins June 8-9. As a team, the girls received the highest honor of the Elite Award with an orange ribbon both days of camp. The girls learned material for the season and bonded as a team. Throughout the week, individual accolades went to Lilly Cabuno, Addie Engster, Harper Gill, Carmella Hurdley, Stella Karzmar, Marianna Pera, Allison Thomas, and Mia Zordich for standout skills in leadership, dance, spirit, or stunt.
